FAQ
Q: Can I arm my alarm at night if I have a motion detector?
A: Yes, the alarm has different modes for different situations. You can have the
motion detector off when you are at home by setting in the stay mode.
Q: My house is not pre-wired for a security system or a surround sound system, can
I get these in an older home or a home without existing wiring?
A: Yes, homes can have security and surround sound wiring installed after they are
built. Placement of the devices may become limited at times when the home has little
attic or crawl space. A security professional will come to your home to help to
design your new system.
Q: I do not have a land line telephone. Can I still have a monitored security system?
A: Yes, you no longer need a home telephone to have your security system monitored.
We have Cellular Communicators that will interact with your security system and
call our monitoring station using cellular technology. The Cellular Communicator
can transmit in almost any environment and is getting more powerful as service coverage
areas increase. This service is not affected by your personal cellular provider.
Q: Can you monitor a security system through a Voice Over IP telephone service,
like Vonage?
A: There are many Voice Over IP telephone services we are able to use for security
monitoring. However these lines are not secure telephone lines and may be unstable.
We advise that you always use a cellular communicator as a back up to your Voice
over IP telephone line.
